Transformer Disposal & Recycling Experts
Environmental Protection Services was founded in 1989 to address specialized waste-management and disposal needs that were not being fully served by conventional providers. Today, EPS focuses on transformers, electrical equipment, PCB materials and dielectric fluids.
Specialized Capabilities
EPS operates a 50,000-square-foot facility in Wheeling, West Virginia, with custom-built furnace capacity for electrical equipment and PCB-contaminated materials. Our services also include transformer oil recycling through the PCBX process, PCB testing, equipment dismantling and material recovery.
A Focus on Liability, Risk and Cost
EPS positions its services around three goals: reducing customer liability, reducing project risk and controlling disposal or recycling cost while protecting the environment.
Experience with Difficult Projects
EPS handles projects involving high PCB concentrations, unusually large equipment and complex disposal requirements.
Audits and Industry Review
Our facility is regularly reviewed and audited by CHWMEG, a nonprofit consortium of manufacturing and industrial companies that evaluates waste, recycling, treatment and disposal facilities.
